The act of art making calms the chaos which shakes my soul; presently there is great change upon our planet and I humbly artwork by artwork am attempting to create a more illuminated world through my art practice. The act of art making has the power to transform, illuminate, educate, inspire and motivate us all into a new way of being in the world, may that world be beautiful and full of wonder."

The themes explored within her collections are the cosmos, Automatic Drawing, Transpersonal Psychology, shadow work, geometric symbolism and surrealism. Each artwork and collection has layers of personal process, wisdom, healing and background philosophical research; which inform her creative studio practice. and drive her inspirations. Anything that shimmers holds a special attraction to Sequin and taps into this ancient fascination which showcases an innate reflection of her inner world.
An experimental artist whose practice expands across multiple disciplines such as; mixed media, textiles, sculpture, painting, digital projection and illustration. Her signature hand crafted art-works offer a window into the power of unseen energy,. Sequin explore’s the intriguing beauty, transformative power and paradoxical nature of healing, destruction and personal chaos. A sense of mystery and unfolding moves throughout her collections and individual pieces. The intention behind the artworks is to encourage the viewer to consider and contemplate the vast network of information which is beyond our immediate sensed world. . Her form of art-making connects with the hidden layers of the soul opening up a space for viewers to engage in their own inner landscape. The art itself acts as an invitation to becoming more receptive towards their own hidden world within.
The work created is often a delicate form of revelation and healing; reflecting an intimate journey into her own discomfort and pain; transforming and translating these feelings into aesthetically directed artworks. The artist is passionate about individual and collective healing and how creativity can enrich our experience of what it means to be alive.
‘Everyone’s response to colour and form is diverse and at the same time colour can function as a universal language and entry point to begin conversations around our own inner thoughts and feelings. There is a power in pigment; as colour is the quiet force which guides human life’.
